Visiting a church for the first time can be a bit unsettling when you are not sure what to expect or what is expected of you. What Time and Where?
What kind of church are you?
Vantage Point is a non-denominational, Bible-believing church! We simply love Jesus, His Word, and one another. We want to see our community and world transformed through the sharing and living out of the Gospel of Jesus.
We are more than a church to simply attend. We are a community of Jesus followers who are striving to be more like Him. We desire to be a people who seek to know God and make Him known. If you'd like to know more about the specifics of what we believe CLICK HERE.
WHAT DOES SERVICE LOOK LIKE?
Each service is filled with meaningful worship through song and practice that puts Jesus at the center, and helps you engage with God and what he says in a real way. You'll hear songs of old, new, as well as unique to our church. We have weekly communion available, and take it together regularly. Our sermons are always bible-centered and include both topical and book studies. Our services last around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Sermons are typically 40-45 minutes, and our time of music is about 20-30 minutes.
What do you have for my kids?
We believe our time with VP kids is so much more than babysitting or sitting in a class. We want our kids to walk away with a better understanding of the truth of the gospel. Every Sunday, while parents are in the adult worship service, your children will worship and learn in their own age appropriate class in the care of loving teachers.
WHAT ABOUT SECURITY?
We want you to feel comfortable leaving your kids with our kid’s ministry team. It is our policy that all of our kid’s ministry teams have been background checked and have a heart to disciple kids. We also have a safety team on duty all throughout our kids and adult space. Part of our safety for your kids is the secure check in process for every child that comes through our doors. Will i be put on the spot?
Nope! You can be as anonymous as you would like. Our greeters will greet you as you come in and people will welcome you, but no one will single you out or ask you to do or say anything. If you want to communicate with us, you can fill out a Connection Card or find one of our pastors or welcome team! We want you to relax and enjoy your time with us!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Simply, whatever you'd like! You will see some in their Sunday best, and some in flip flops and a jersey.
Do You have ANYTHING for my teenagers?
Every Wednesday night from 6:30 - 8:15 our students meet in a home located in Rhome
for a time of worship through song, fun activities and games, and a lesson from God’s Word.
