Visiting a church for the first time can be a bit unsettling when you are not sure what to expect and what is expected of you. We want your first visit to Vantage Point Church to be as pleasant an experience as possible. We know you have questions you would like to know ahead of time, with that in mind, we have listed answers to some questions that you might have before showing up. If this does not answer your specific question, please call us at (817) 393-4033.
It is our desire that this be a place where you feel you can come just as you are and hear the message of the gospel of Jesus that gives hope and peace. We know you are not perfect, and here, you don’t have to act like you are. Just come and be open to hearing about Jesus and the life he can give you.
WHEN ARE THE WEEKLY WORSHIP SERVICES?
Vantage Point has two identical services that meet on Sunday mornings at 915:am and 11:00. These two services offer great worship and Bible-based messages for adults and kids.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
Vantage Point is a church in Haslet located at 14250 Sendera Ranch Blvd, Haslet, TX 76052 (click for google maps) in the community of Sendera Ranch in Northwest Fort Worth and edge of Haslet, TX. We gather each week in the Premier Academy located on Willow Springs Rd. You can get to Willow Springs from Avondale Haslet Rd and from Sendera Ranch Blvd.
WHERE DO I PARK WHEN I GET THERE?
When you arrive you are free to park in any of the parking spaces located in the back of Wilson Middle School. You will find Vantage Point parking signs that will help you know where you can park safely.
WHAT DOES THE GATHERING TIME LOOK LIKE?
Each service is filled with heartfelt, meaningful worship that will help you engage God. Our teaching time is Bible-Centered. While there are specific topics that we address, we let the scripture and Spirit guide how we talk about it. Because we value God’s Word as truth we walk through books of the Bible so we can know fully how God has called us to live. The messages are relevant and biblical and are presented in a real and authentic way that will help you connect your faith with everyday life. We promote a relaxed and casual atmosphere where both believers and seekers are welcomed just as they are – no matter their spiritual background.
DO WE HAVE SOMETHING FOR TEENAGERS?
On Sunday mornings at the 11:00am service we have VP Students. During this time students will worship in the main service with the adults and then move into a time of community where they will discuss the same passage that the adults will be.
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
We value kids hearing about Jesus! What you will not find in this setting is kids not hearing the truth of Jesusand sitting in child care. While the parents are in the worship service, children will worship and learn on their own level about Jesus Christ in the care of loving teachers.
If this is your first time visiting Vantage Point, and you plan on sending your kids to our VP Kid’s Gathering, then you will need to check them in at our Kid’s Check-in Station located in the front lobby area. Ask the greeter at the front door or look for the sign that says “Check-In Kids Here”. This is not a long process, but it is our way of making sure we know whoall is back there!
We want you to feel comfortable leaving your kids with our kid\’s ministry team. It is our policy that all our kid’s ministry team have been through a background checked and have a desire to work with kids. Below are some pictures of our kid’s space.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Simply, whatever you like. You will see that most are casually dressed.
WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE WILL BE THERE?
At Vantage Point you will find no “perfect people” just people who are on their journey to know God and live the best life possible. Though we have many young families, we have a real cross-section of people of various ages and cultural backgrounds from the surrounding communities. We are all normal people who face the daily struggles of life.
WILL I BE PUT ON THE SPOT?
No. You can be as anonymous as you would like. Our greeters will greet you as you come in and people will welcome you, but no one will single you out or ask you to say anything. If you want to communicate with us, you can fill out a Connection Card or just talk to someone who looks like they know what they are doing. We want you to be relaxed.
WHAT KIND OF CHURCH ARE YOU?
We are a non-denominational, Bible-based, Jesus-Centered church. For more information, see What We Believe.
